Quality Print Services (QPS), a wide-format print specialist and the main UK distributor of Nazdar digital inkjet ink products, has uncovered what might be the hardest working print head in the UK.
The seemingly indestructible print head was uncovered at Leeds-based WAE Group when the service team from QPS arrived to repair an electrical failure on the print head of a Roland XF-640 printer, initially installed in September 2013. On further investigation of the head failure, the QPS service engineer discovered that the shot count on both magenta and yellow print channels stood at 20.5 billion droplets. The generally accepted head life is stated as 6.0 billion droplets.
From the outset, signage specialist WAE Group ran Nazdar 202 Series inks on the printer and has remained a loyal Nazdar customer since. Designed as a high-quality alternative to Roland Eco Max 2 original inks, Nazdar 202 Series inks have been formulated for plug and play use, and are fully colour-matched and chemically compatible with the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) inks.
QPS’ Chris Bailey comments: “While there are many contributing factors to the longevity of these print heads – including excellent hardware, operator maintenance and servicing to name a few – the quality of Nazdar’s inks must be right up there too. Nazdar inks are the ideal long-term solution for our customers because they meet – or exceed – the quality of OEM inks, but at a lower price-point.”
