QPS install 2 Roland Texart XT-640 printers at EventureWorks

QPS installs two new Roland Texart XT-640 printers at EventureWorks.

Quality Print Services (QPS), a wide-format print specialist, key reseller for Roland DG and the main UK distributor of Nazdar digital inkjet ink products, has installed two new Roland Texart XT-640 printers at cycle jersey specialist EventureWorks. Both high-speed dye sublimation devices are running Nazdar's NDT600 Series bulk ink systems.

Replacing five older models, the two new Roland XT-640 machines were installed in May 2019 and will enable Falkirk-based EventureWorks to expand its product offerings and speed up turnaround while reducing its footprint. Ideal for businesses needing a robust solution for dye sublimation transfer printing - including sportswear, fashion, soft signage, interior decoration and promotional merchandise - the Texart XT-640 has been designed to combine superb quality, productivity and value with ease-of-use.

EventureWorks - which was founded in 2005 and also operates under The Cycle Jersey brand - specialises in custom-printed cycle jerseys made to its customers' own designs, as well as supplying limited edition jerseys created with the permission of the relevant company or artist. The company, which employs four people in-house, has a wide gamut of customers ranging from B2B customers, as well as teams and individuals ordering directly from EventureWorks' ecommerce platform.

On the double Roland purchase, Brian Gibb, Director of EventureWorks, comments: "We moved to new premises in March 2019 and wanted to reduce the footprint of some of the older printing equipment we had in house. We also wanted to speed up our operations while retaining the quality our business is renowned for. The new Roland XT-640 high-speed dye sublimation printers perfectly fit the bill."

The new printers have been installed with Nazdar NDT600 Series high-quality, alternative inks in bulk ink systems (BIS), also supplied by QPS. Designed for use on any printer platform using Epson print head technology, Nazdar NDT600 Series inks deliver an incredibly high print density, meaning customers can expect strong, vibrant prints, with less ink required to achieve these results. Less ink also means less bleed when used for direct-to-substrate applications, while prints dry faster, allowing end users to use lower weight - and therefore lower cost - heat transfer paper. Quicker drying inks are also essential as printers get faster, helping to accelerate workflow.

Moreover, Nazdar inks are typically up to 30% cheaper than those offered by the original equipment manufacturer. The Nazdar BIS enables moderate and heavy users of inks to lower their ink costs even more, whilst streamlining their production process and reducing waste.

Brian Gibb continues: "The installation process for the printers was very straightforward, and we've used Nazdar inks since 2005 so know they work well. Chris Bailey at QPS has advised us for many years now and we are fully confident in the recommendations he makes and the support QPS provides."

He concludes: "Quite simply, QPS are good, knowledgable and reliable people to work with."
