Quality Print Services (QPS) has reported a very successful three days at the NEC for Sign and Digital UK 2017.
Taking place from March 28th to 30th at Birmingham's major conference centre, Sign and Digital UK visitors were particularly interested in QPS's range of Longier grand-format flatbed printers. While QPS did not exhibit a Longier machine at the show, the Lancashire company's team of experts was available to answer the many questions posed by attendees.
"We are a proud supplier of Longier, following five years of working with the manufacturer and Nazdar Ink Technologies to develop a solution suitable for 24-7 operation in hard-working industrial environments,"
comments Chris Bailey, Managing Director, QPS.
"We experienced a lot of interest at Sign and Digital UK from sign companies looking to bring this kind of printing in-house, as the machinery previously available just wasn't up to the task – it seems now is just the right time for Longier to break through.
"Each of our Longier customers in the UK produces excellent quality work on their flatbed systems and we're expecting that number to grow after such a buzz at the show."
The Longier machines supplied by QPS use Nazdar ink, meaning superior quality at a lower price point compared to leading-brand printers running OEM inks.
At the annual trade show, QPS – an Authorised Roland Dealer for dye-sublimation and UV applications – also attracted a lot of interest in Roland Texart dye-sublimation printers, with hardware demonstrations alongside displays of cushions, sportswear, soft signage and other printed textiles.
QPS ran Nazdar 203 inks on a Roland VS-640i at the show, designed as a colour-matched alternative to Roland Eco Max 3 inks and demonstrating vivid colours and excellent durability and adhesion. Many Nazdar inks are manufactured in the UK, giving QPS an opportunity to present the range to visitors from around the world.
"We had a very successful Sign and Digital UK in 2017, with a few surprises and lots of leads to take back to Lancashire," says Chris Bailey. "It's always an interesting show with lots going on, which is why we've been a fixture on the exhibitor list for so many years."
