Leading trade-only supplier to the sign and graphics and digital printing/finishing industries, William Smith has revived its exclusive UK distributor status on the ROLLSROLLER Flatbed Applicator. It follows a new agreement made with the Sweden-based originator and manufacturer of the machine, Reklamide.
The partnership is founded on this company’s 30 years of experience in print finishing technology and William Smith’s role in bringing the ROLLSROLLER to the UK market in 2005. This resulted in hundreds of new machine installations at many of the UK’s leading sign manufacturers, large-format graphics producers, digital printers and print service providers.
The ROLLSROLLER is now widely acknowledged as the most cost-effective and precise method of applying self-adhesive materials, application tapes and digital prints to a wide range of commonly used rigid, semi-rigid and flexible substrates. Typically, these include acrylic and plastics and their derivatives, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, glass, foamed and corrugated board, laminates and banner-grade materials.
Applications that hitherto were carried out manually, with all the attendant variables in terms of quality and turnaround times, can now be completed in a fraction of the time (typically up to 80 per cent faster) by a single machine operator. This has enabled companies to increase production capacity whilst reducing costs and resulted in greater profitability and exponential business growth.
William Smith will be distributing the four main models in the ROLLSROLLER range (Entry, Regular, Premium and Traffic). With the Entry, Regular and Premium models, different sizes of machine are available in order to fully accommodate most workspaces and materials of varying lengths and widths.
As the name implies, the Entry model is ideal for small or start-up companies where available workspace might be at a premium and production levels smaller, while Regular represents the standard model in the range. Premium is the most popular model designed for industrial-grade high-volume production requirements. Traffic has been developed specifically for the manufacture of road traffic signs. It incorporates a specially profiled processing bed to accommodate any standard extruded sign panel.
All of the machines share the same superbly engineered and ergonomically enhanced design and build characteristics. These are founded on a solid steel frame construction and aluminium processing bed (a LED-illuminated single-piece glass top version is available for more efficient processing of multi-coloured and/or translucent graphics), specially designed pneumatically-controlled durable rubber automatic height-adjustable rollers, glide beams and self-healing cutting mats.
These are supplemented with a raft of optional machine enhancements, including for example additional side trays to accommodate extra-large banners and outdoor advertising hoardings and an anti-static system to neutralise static electricity.
All ROLLSROLLER machines are supported with comprehensive product training by William Smith specialist engineers and backed with performance warranties of up to five years, contingent upon machine type.
