William Smith introduce new 3M IJ280 film to UK market

3M Launches New Print Wrap Film IJ280 with 3M Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8428G.

William Smith Group 1832 are thrilled to announce the introduction of the new 3M Print Wrap Film IJ280 onto the UK market.

IJ280 is the natural successor to the incredibly popular IJ180 and another fantastic example of 3M’s outstanding commitment to innovation within the vehicle wrap industry.

With its newly designed film, adhesive, air-release pattern, and liner, IJ280 enables faster installation than any other film on the current market, making life easier for installers regardless of their skill level.

This is perhaps the most interesting feature of the new product, with tests proving the film to be 20% faster to install when compared to other leading digital print cast films currently used for fleet wrapping.

Its epic conformability makes installation smoother than ever before, with even the deepest corners and compound curves needing far less heat and pressure to apply.

IJ280 also comes with a wide array of other new and improved features, including fantastic repositionability and slideability, better print quality, and the new Comply air release v4.

The newest adaptation of 3M’s air release technology is designed for max airflow through a randomised pattern, guaranteeing a smooth finish every time.

When paired with Gloss Wrap Overlaminate 8428G, IJ280 also boasts a ‘wet paint’ gloss finish, enhanced UV durability, and faster outgassing.

3M guarantees 8 years vertical durability on this product in the UK.

Chris Bradley, Head of Marketing at William Smith, said, “It’s amazing to see 3M continue to innovate every time they introduce a new product. They always bring something new to the table. IJ280 has the potential to be a real game-changer and we’re confident that once our customers get their hands on it, they’ll see exactly what we mean. We think they’ll love it.”
