viscom 2019: More live experiences for visitors

viscom 2019 More live experiences for digital printers and signmakers.

viscom 2019 turns signmaking and digital printing into an experience. Held with the slogan “viscom – go for it!” from 8 to 10 January, the hands-on trade show will offer far more to trade visitors than a chance to try out new technology live: they’ll also be able to experience skilled practitioners in action, get ideas for their businesses and engage in peer-to-peer discussions.

viscom – home of digital printers and signmakers

The heart of the new live experience for printers, signmakers, textile finishers and promotional products professionals is the “viscom live signmaking workshop”. On each of the three trade show days, experienced digital printers and signmakers will set up a signmaking fan shop replete with genuine fan merchandise in a special exhibition area right at the entrance to the main exhibition in Hall 14. Visitors will be able to get an up-close look as the pros foil-coat walls, custom-print wallpaper, create large-format posters and banners, and craft illuminated lettering and stenters.

Signmaking fan shop: Proceeds to charity

What’s more, the experts at the “viscom live signmaking workshop” will finish fan memorabilia live right onsite: they’ll personalise promotional products such as cups and lighters, embroider caps, and refine T-shirts with cool signmaking aphorisms. Plus, a skilled sign writer will demonstrate best practices for hand lettering. The results will be displayed in the window of the viscom fan shop, which will be decorated and labelled anew each day. More than just to be admired, some will also be on sale, with the proceeds going to charity.

Themed guided tours of viscom planned

Trade visitors who want to help instead of just watch are welcome anytime at the “viscom live signmaking workshop”. They’re also invited to dive deeper into the real-world issue they care about in other “viscom workshops” and at the practice-focussed “Forum 13”. For the first time, a clearly structured guide map available at the entrance and useful over the entire course of the trade show will tell visitors exactly which experiences are offered where and when at viscom. In addition, three themed tours will take visitors on guided tours not just of viscom but also of PromoTex Expo – International Trade Show for Promotion, Sports and Workwear and PSI – Leading European Trade Show of the Promotional Products Industry. In 2019, both shows will take place concurrently with viscom in Düsseldorf for the first time.
