The return of Sign and Digital this year has prompted InkTec Europe to re-consider how they approach exhibitions from a sustainability standpoint. Their stand this year will feature recycled elements, with nearly 90% of it being able to be re-used.
Working closely with their chosen exhibition partner – Alchemy Expo – InkTec were keen to explore how they could get much more out of the stand. Aside from screens, light boxes and furniture that can be used for other events, the stand has also been designed to be assembled and broken down easily with the majority of the parts being re-purposed for when InkTec attend future events. This includes flooring, cabinets, wooden countertops, fabric walling and more. The majority of which has been printed on either the JETRIX LXiR320 Roll-to-Roll or the JETRIX LXi8 Flatbed LED UV printers. Both of which will also be on the stand at Sign and Digital.
The printers will be alongside a dedicated area showcasing the inks and media range. This will include the new Direct to Fabric ink, UV ink for Mimaki UCJV300 and the now fire-rated TEX-RA FR opaque self-adhesive fabric. With 100% of InkTec Europe’s media being recyclable due to it being made from polypropylene and polyester material the stand is also on the Sustainability and Textile Trail at the exhibition.
Joey Kim, Managing Director of InkTec Europe comments; “When it became apparent that exhibitions were going ahead this year, we wanted to make the most of these events; but also re-consider how we approach them too. Therefore, the ability to be able to re-use the majority of the stand was an important factor both from a financial and sustainability perspective. Alchemy Expo understood our thinking on this and worked with us to create a stand that would adopt many of these principles, while also using the actual stand to showcase what our JETRIX printers can do.”
In addition, as one of Brett Martin longest approved partners, they will be using a variety of their latest rigid media includingthe new Eco range. This will be featuring Foamalux Eco, Foamalux Xtra, Marpet-g FS Eco and Marcryl GS Eco where they manufactured from reclaimed post-production waste content, reducing landfill and making it a greener choice.
InkTec Europe will be at Sign and Digital UK, NEC Birmingham on stand F10, Hall 2 from 22nd – 24th March 2022.
