On Tuesday 7th of June, Clevedon-based Roland DG UK hosted the UK’s first VersaUV Experience Day, with a focus on versatility and a variety of profitable applications across a wide range of media.
Attendees were given the opportunity to learn more about the UV print markets, including tailored information on breaking into the personalisation, industrial or giftware industries, investment in new UV technology and how UV printing can add profit to any business.
Alongside Roland DG’s own UV experts, several partners joined the event to provide a full, rounded solution to creating profitable products in the UV print markets, from personalising blank products to adding unique offerings to interest customers.
Rob Goleniowski, Sales Support Manager at Roland DG, said: “We had a great turnout on the day, and had chance to spend a good amount of time with each customer that attended for a truly personalised experience. With UV print there’s such a wide variety of applications and industries to utilise, you’re never far from a profit-making avenue.”
Media Suppliers Shimmerdisc were on hand throughout the day to talk visitors through their innovative sequin-based media, an alternative solution to traditional signage perfect for businesses who want to stand out. Easily printed on Roland DG’s VersaUV LEF series printers, including the LEJ-640FT, Shimmerdisc is the ideal solution for alternative luxury signage.
Alongside this, Multipanel was on site offering visitors the chance to find out more about their Alupanel® aluminium composite panels, the perfect lightweight material for the production of signage using a wide variety of print technologies, including the VersaUV LEF-300 flatbed.
Last but not least, technology partners CSI displayed one of their successful laser engravers, and explained exactly what makes UV technology and laser cutting so complimentary to each other, from basic personalisation through to intricate, high-value products.
Digital Blanks also provided products for the event for use on the VersaUV LEF-20, including pens and mint dispensers - ideal for giveaways.
Joe Wigzell, Academy and Creative Centre Manager, ran a well-attended Academy course alongside RolandCare, based on artworking and production for UV Print, with delegates stating that the session was inspirational and well worth attending.
Joe said: “The VersaUV day was a great opportunity for both existing and potential customers to come & find out all about UV technology, the processes and related products in a relaxed environment – something that we know is very appealing to customers. I had the pleasure of helping some of those that attended to improve their design knowledge for UV output. The session was a success and everybody left with something new to take away.”
Visitors left the event with a clear oversight of how UV technology can benefit their business, and information on Roland DG’s wide range of VersaUV products, suitable for businesses of all sizes.
