printMAX, a major supplier of large format print solutions across the UK and Europe, has installed its first Roland VersaUV LEJ-640 - Roland’s first wide format hybrid printer - at Smith Signs Ltd Guernsey. The new hybrid flatbed printer will enable the team to explore a host of new applications, from packaging prototypes to wide-format signage, exhibits and window displays.
The Roland VersaUV LEJ-640 is a 64” machine that prints CMYK, white and clear inks on virtually any substrate up to 13mm thick. A variety of media can be used to create eye-catching work, including three-dimensional custom patterns and embossing effects - all of which produce dramatic results.
Dan Smith, managing director of Smith Signs Ltd Guernsey said, “The Roland VersaUV LEJ-640 is an excellent addition to our range of print hardware. It was an obvious choice as the LEJ-640 is an extremely versatile printer that offers high quality white and clear print options, plus a host of special effects to create striking textured effects on a range of media. It will enable us to expand our range of services. A big thanks to the team at printMAX for their support, both pre, post and during the installation process.”
Michael Bolton, managing director of printMAX said, “We are proud to install the first Roland VersaUV LEJ-640 for Smith Signs Ltd Guernsey. We worked with the team at Smith Signs to illustrate how they can get the best out of the new equipment, in order to generate new income streams for the business. Our technical services manager travelled to Guernsey and managed both the installation and training to ensure Smith Signs were immediately up and running and able to benefit from the new VersaUV LEJ-640’s features.”
