PressOn working with the Crossrail project

PressOn Crossrail Project

PressOn, one of the UK’s leading large format digital printers, has recently completed a major package of work for the Crossrail project – the printing and installing 450m of hoarding graphics to construction sites throughout London, UK.

PressOn was appointed to produce and install updated hoardings to explain features of the stations being built and of the new trains and Elizabeth line services to come. This package of work delivered bespoke hoarding artwork for each individual station currently under construction across central London.

PressOn produced the hoardings to be installed around the construction worksites at Bond Street, Paddington, Liverpool Street, Oxford Street, Moorgate, Farringdon, Custom House and Whitechapel stations.

Using their HP Latex 3500, PressOn printed the hoarding graphics with HP Latex inks onto permanent vinyl which was then mounted onto 3mm Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) panels.

PressOn was also responsible for installation of the graphics across the project’s central London sites, which involved consultation with the individual contractors at each worksite to identify the best methodology. This involved meticulous planning to schedule installation without disrupting the construction programme, as well as health and safety obligations, and other logistical complexities surrounding pedestrian and traffic management.

Nigel Webster, MD at PressOn said, “We’ve worked with Crossrail for a number of years now and were delighted to be asked to produce and install the refreshed construction site hoardings. As always deadlines were tight, but our recently improved production capacity helped us with this project and everything went without a hitch.”
