The NS Multi LG is a wide format flatbed digital printer which is designed for the short run printing on demand of folding cartons and corrugated boxes and sheets.
Capable of speeds up to 18 linear metres per minute, the NS Multi LG is an affordable high-speed digital printer for companies who want the flexibility of taking their box printing in-house or as a complementary digital process for a print service provider, looking to offer digital box printing, personalisation, packaging prototypes and sampling.
The five colour (CMYKK) NS Multi LG features a 47” (1200mm) media width, a 42’’ (1066mm) print area, print speeds of up to 300mm per second and a resolution of up to 1600 x 1600 dpi. A single pass colour inkjet printer incorporating Memjet technology, the NS Multi LG enables exceptionally fast print speeds at very high quality and very low cost.
Stewart Bell, VP Sales for the UK says, “We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Perfect Colours. They first saw the Multi LG at FESPA in Berlin earlier this year and were immediately impressed with the quality and speed combination. They could see how this new printer may very well revolutionise the personalised packaging and box printing market because of its price: performance ratio. Perfect Colours has a long standing reputation for service and reliability so we are proud to work with them to introduce the first machines in the UK in the next 2-3 weeks.”
The printer gives customers the ability to compete on short run print jobs and enables the option for variable data, customisation and personalisation, something that has been out of reach with traditional packaging print technology. It will also appeal to manufacturers who need short runs of print packaging materials on demand, delivering efficiency thanks to lower stock holding and faster turnaround.
Jon Telling, sales director at Perfect Colours explains why the NS Multi is an important addition to their printer portfolio, “The NS Multi represents an affordable but high quality solution that allows customers to compete on short run digital packaging, thanks to the flexibility and low running costs of the machine. Speed is also a great asset and allows fast throughput of a wide of range of materials. The one pass technology employed is not only quick but gives excellent high quality prints, direct to substrate. This printer represents an important innovation in its ability for nonstop printing and accurate and easy to set up registration.”
Jon continues, “Manufacturers involved in the packaging segment, in addition to companies that are seeking innovation in their printed packaging, as well as print service providers wishing to enter the market or offer extra print services to their existing customer base will want to see and test this exciting new printer. Our demonstration printer will be installed at the Perfect Colours Innovation Centre in Sheffield shortly and we will offer demonstrations on the NS Multi LG from July onwards and we very much look forward to delivering our first set of demonstrations then.”
