German commercial printer, Nino-Druck GmbH, has made its first steps into the personalised photo market with the purchase of Taopix at Drupa.
The 30 year old business, based in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, employs around 120 staff and specialises in offset, digital and large format printing.
Nino-Druck entered the digital print market three years ago with its first HP Indigo purchase. The company now operates 3 HP Indigo presses, one of which is the B2 HP Indigo 10000, and is looking to build upon its current W2P and cross media offerings with Taopix Online.
Says Marcus Kalle, Nino-Druck Managing Director “To stay competitive in the German market, it’s important to keep innovating and providing more services to your customers. Our goal is to be a trusted partner for complex projects that have unique marketing, production and multichannel media challenges. We want to be a full service provider to our customers.”
“We’re keen to develop our personalisation services and target new customers with photo books, calendars, postcards and wrapping paper. We have many ideas around new products and go to market strategies that involve both B2C and B2B models.”
“We chose Taopix because it’s a complete solution out of the box. We can get started straight away with the HTML5 Editor, shopping cart and payment facilities already in place. I’ve been interested in the Taopix platform for the last couple of year and have been watching developments closely. With this latest release that delivers new online and mobile user journeys, I believed the time was right for us to invest.”
Steffen Haaga, Commercial Director for Taopix, adds “We’re very excited at the prospect of having Nino-Druck as a Taopix customer. It’s a very well-respected company that has all they key elements in place; exceptional quality digital print, a highly-skilled workforce with experience in W2P and cross media and a motivated team with exciting plans to reach new customers.”
