CMYUK has announced two new senior promotions in its consumables business. Damien Clarke now becomes Sales Director and Joel Willcock is now Commercial Director.
These roles will significantly strengthen the senior management team of CMYUK – essential to its scalability strategy that will expand the company’s consumables business in the UK, Europe and the Americas.
Both Joel and Damien will form part of a New Business Development Team that will drive and manage the overall business strategy set by CMYUK’s main board which consists of Jon Price, Group Finance and Operations; Robin East, Group Sales and Marketing; and Michael Crook, in his new role as Business Development Director.
“We have a culture of empowerment at CMYUK and this forms the basis from which we are going to expand the next level,” said Jon Price. “Our restructure establishes a senior management team that allows us to evolve at a rapid rate and gives the rest of our staff the freedom to grow, develop and add even more value to the overall business.
“Damien is an outstanding sales performer and leader. He has established a substantial portfolio of major accounts and is regarded very highly within the market. He is a valuable asset to the business, and in his new role, he will continue to manage key accounts and mentor our sales teams by example to ensure they maximise their potential.
“Joel’s promotion is in recognition of the exceptional performance he has shown in product and supply chain management. The commercialisation of product is a detailed and complex process and Joel’s energy, drive, and commitment have made a huge impact on the business.”
Continual growth
Over the past four years, CMYUK’s consumables business has enjoyed significant growth and is recognised as a market leader within the UK’s wide-format digital print industry. During this time, CMYUK has established a firm foundation from which to develop new business and expand into new market territories, thanks to an increasing range of exclusive and innovative products.
These include Kavalan, the PVC-free banner range that is accelerating the market away from traditional PVC to a sustainable and eco-responsible alternative. Kavalan has the look and feel of traditional PVC, with a weld and tear strength that more than equals it – all at an attractive price point.
CMYUK’s recently launched UFABRIK ECO Canvas wallcoverings manufactured from recycled plastic waste is another landmark range. A premium woven canvas designed for single piece wallcoverings, traditional wallpapers, display graphics, tension frame systems, and art reproductions, it is compatible with latex, solvent, or UV inks and available in various roll widths up to 3100mm. UFABRIK is highly significant for the Display & Graphics market as it offers robust ecological credentials with quality print reproduction at a competitive price.
CMYUK will be also be adding to its marketing team with the hiring of two full-time digital resource lead generators who will help build important direct international networks.
Robin East said, “CMYUK is entering a new phase of expansion where we are looking to new markets and geographical regions with our pioneering, sustainable materials supply. Our consumables business has experienced considerable continual growth in the UK and we are proactively creating new opportunities in markets such as décor, design, and fashion.
“We are focusing on innovative eco-responsible products that deliver on quality, performance, and price, which are clean and much better for the environment. We have set out a new structure to ensure the scalability we require to grow rapidly into new geographical regions with these innovative new product ranges.”
