Milton Keynes-based Source Graphics have invested nearly £200,000 in some major equipment purchased from printing equipment specialist Josero.
Established in 2003, Source Graphics delivers a range of professional print services from exhibition stands, large format print, pop-up and roller banners to architectural shop fronts and illuminated signs.
With an impressive client list of businesses such as Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, Rightmove, the Ministry of Defence, Asahi and Mitsubishi amongst others, the company’s investment will undoubtedly attract more clients to its portfolio.
Having made the decision to expand the business and bring more production facilities in-house to increase efficiencies and improve profitability, the Source Graphics team went on a major mission to research the best wide format production equipment on the market.
David Albertella, Director of Source Graphics commented, “A flatbed cutting and routing machine was high on our list as it would enable us to cut out shapes on foamex, correx, dibond and cardboard, which make up the bulk of our production. Our main criteria was the build quality of the machine as well as ensuring we would receive a good return on our investment. After much investigation we selected the Comagrav DIGI flatbed cutting and routing machine, which is manufactured by Comac in the Czech Republic, and distributed in the UK by Josero. The Comagrav DIGI goes beyond our original criteria by enabling us to produce high quality acrylic cutting and engraving too.”
Source Graphics also wanted to purchase a UV printer and after spending a considerable amount of time with the Josero team who identified the right print engine for them, they opted for the high resolution Anapurna M2500i, a 2.5m wide hybrid UV machine from Agfa Graphics. The Anapurna M2500i allows the Source Graphics team to have a direct to substrate printing facility as well as considerably increasing their print capacity.
Josero supplied the printer through their Agfa Partnership for approved second hand machines. The efficient installation was carried out by the Agfa team who also provided support and training plus a full year’s warranty, which they would normally provide for new machines.
Steve Collins, Channel Manager for Agfa Graphics commented, “We’re thrilled with Source Graphics’ investment in the Anapurna M2500i, it’s robust and reliable and offers a high throughput whilst achieving an excellent level of print quality. This is another step in our collaboration with Josero, where Agfa benefits from Josero's expertise to match a print engine to a client’s requirements."
The Josero team played a key role in the whole decision making process.
Russell Gage, Managing Director at Source Graphics said, “Loic Delor from Josero and his technical team offered us some fantastic advice on our investment. As we’d worked with them in the past when we purchased a Bubble Free Applicator table, we trusted their technical knowledge of products on the market and knew they would provide us with reliable solutions for our business. We weighed up productivity on numerous pieces of equipment and the greater capacity we would achieve, as well as the quality and reliability of the machines, which are fundamental to our business. We can now deliver speed, efficiency, quality and excellent value for money to our clients.”
Loic Delor, Managing Director of Josero concluded, “We’re delighted that Source Graphics chose the Comagrav DIGI flatbed cutting and routing machine and the Anapurna M2500i. Both are exceptional products and through our partnerships and dealerships we were able to deliver great value for money on both products. We’re sure that David, Russell and the team at Source Graphics will reap fantastic results on their investment.”
