JETRIX appoints new technician to start trainee programme

JETRIX launches a trainee programme with the start of a new technician.

InkTec’s latest addition to the JETRIX team, sees the company initiating a trainee programme to bring more young people into the business.

Dan Hutt has joined as a trainee JETRIX technician focused on supporting the engineers with the company’s LED UV flatbed and roll-to-roll printer series.

This recent expansion of the engineering team signals increased investment by InkTec Europe in supporting their customers and their JETRIX printers across the UK. New starter - Dan Hutt – joins the business with a wealth of previous printing experience. This includes maintaining and running the large and small format printers at one of the leading large format printers who offer solutions for signage, exhibition and display. Then he worked with Shirtworks who principally work with textile printers, where he was responsible for preparing artwork and running the printer.

While Dan has been brought on to learn all the intricacies of the South Korean built large format JETRIX printers, he will also be using the trainee opportunity to learn more about on-going support for customers too. His training programme kicks off with an extensive colour profiling course. Speaking about his new role, Dan said;

“This feels like a great opportunity to pursue my interest in the large format printing industry, particularly as I really wanted to get into more of the technical side. The role will also mean that I get to go on-site to service printers and be the face of the company. Much of my time will be spent proactively in the field visiting our JETRIX customers, building relationships and working with them to make sure they get the best out of their printers.”

Building on this Paula Brown, Head of InkTec Service said, “Dan joining the team reflects the positive shift in the business. It signals an investment in offering training programmes to encourage more people to learn the technical skills on the job, with our specialist support.”
