Sign & graphics industry trade association ISA-UK (formerly the BSGA) has announced it will sponsor the Printed Signage Category at this year’s UK Graphic Awards.
The category, newly created for 2022, was highly popular amongst entrants. Organisers were looking for standout examples of way-finding, advertising, temporary and other printed signage.
Projects are judged on five areas: meeting the brief, creativity, complexity, sustainable choices & overall visual impact.
The shortlist was announced yesterday, and the finalists are Astley Signs, EVM, Imageco, Reade Signs and Signbox.
The winners will be announced at the second annual UK Graphic Awards gala dinner on October 5th in Manchester, which follows a hugely successful inaugural event that bought the UK’s wide-format print industry back together for the first time after the pandemic last September.
Commenting on their decision to sponsor, Craig Brown said “As the relatively new CEO of ISA-UK I’m keen to collaborate and work with events and organisations that highlight our sector in its best light. We see the UK Graphic Awards as just such an event and are proud to be involved as a sponsor and attendee.”
Dan Tyler, the founder of the UK Graphic Awards, added “It’s an honour to have the ISA recognise the contribution our event makes to the industry, and to want to be a part of that. The standard of entries this year has been phenomenal, and with an 85% increase in the number of entries, and about 300 wide-format print professionals due to come together on October 5th, I’m stoked to know that we’ll have some of the ISA team, board, and membership be a part of that.”
