ISA-UK freezes all membership renewals during pandemic

ISA-UK freezes membership renewals to support members.

As part of its efforts to support members during the Coronavirus pandemic, ISA-UK powered by BSGA, the trade association for the sign, graphics and visual communications industry, has frozen all membership renewals due from 1 March 2020 to 31 May 2020.

All members due to renew their annual fees from 1 March 2020 to 31 May 2020 have been advised that their membership renewal notice will now be issued on 1 June 2020; providing up to three months free membership.

David Catanach is director of ISA-UK. “We know how tough things are for our industry so wanted to do something practical to help our members,” Mr Catanach explains. “Whilst we are confident in the value ISA-UK membership offers, we recognise that paying for membership fees may be difficult for business owners who may be struggling in these unprecedented times.

“By temporarily freezing renewals – effectively providing up to three months membership for free – we hope to take the pressure off just a little bit. In March, we selected the date of 1st June for renewals to fall in line with the government’s then prediction of when life may return to some to degree of normality. Obviously, we will continue to monitor the situation and may review this date if appropriate.”

To clarify, if a company’s membership was due to expire on 31 March, it will now not expire until 31 May, with the new membership year starting on 1 June 2020. No payments will be due until the end of June.

Businesses paying their membership fees by monthly standing order can suspend their payments for the same period, without jeopardising their membership, but must contact ISA-UK to arrange this.

“We hope that this renewal freeze will help just a small bit and demonstrate our commitment to supporting our members during this challenging period,” concludes David Catanach.

ISA-UK members also currently receive a daily update email providing links to information relevant during the Covid-19 pandemic; such as insurance issues, storage of machinery and employment matters.
