Global printing industry leader Inkcups Europe GmbH will showcase four of its leading printing systems and one laser plate maker at FESPA Global Print Expo 2022, Europe’s leading exhibition show for screen and digital, wide format printing, and textile printing.
FESPA will be held May 31-June 3 at the Messe Berlin in Berlin, Germany. Inkcups Europe will be located at Hall 3.2, Booth 3.2-C59. The Inkcups Europe display will feature the company’s Helix, Double Helix, XJET800, 2200-PS, and the Cobalt 2000.
Printing on stainless tumblers at the show, the Helix is designed to print superior quality full-color (CMYKWW and varnish) images on straight-walled and tapered cylinders. It creates an ideal balance between speed and image quality due to its patented Helix software, which places 7-picoliter drops of ink precisely along the cylinder at high speed. The Helix also minimizes set up time with an advanced quick-change tooling fixture that easily adjusts for straight or tapered parts as well as programmable tilt which stores the exact specifications for each cylinder position.
The Double Helix is a UV cylindrical printer featuring two print fixtures for double the printing volume that can simultaneously print the same full-color graphics at around 6 to 8 parts per minute. With a printable area of 220 mm in height, the Double Helix can print on items up to 305 mm in length with a diameter of 51 – 114 mm using design techniques such as spot varnish, tip-to-tip printing, mirror print, contour print, and more. At FESPA, the Double Helix will be printing on white metal tumblers with the assistance of automation for quick and continuous printing. The robotic system is available with either vacuum or dual grip action and provides three important benefits: more consistent production times, 24/7 production capabilities, and the elimination of down time.
Printing on mint tins at FESPA, the UV flatbed XJET800 can print an 800 x 620 mm area in under 2.5 minutes with great print quality, including full-color CMYKWW and optional varnish. The XJET800 is also flexible and can handle parts up to 254 mm tall. The XJET800 utilizes a patented conveyor system to bring in parts, print, and send the parts back to be dropped in a bin. Automation-ready, the XJET800 is able to use a robotic arm to pick and place products on the conveyor belt while items are printing to save time and resources.
The 2200-PS is a two-color pad printer equipped with a heavy-duty, dual-position pneumatic pad-slide mechanism. The pad slide simplifies part fixturing and ensures flawless second-color registration on promotional products, apparel items and more. The 2200-PS’s membrane touch control also simplifies the production process. Ideal for larger volumes, the 2200-PS pad printer utilizes two 90mm VersaCup ink cup assembly. The 2200-PS will be printing on microfiber cloth.
The last machine in the Inkcups Europe booth is the Cobalt 2000. The Cobalt 2000 is an affordable alternative to the plate-making process and both small and large printing facilities alike can take control of the process of etching laser plates in house. It is a leader in affordability and efficiency based on solid-state laser technology.
