Infigo Software and Tharstern are celebrating the “enormous interest” that should lead to important new deals triggered from a world first software development launch in Chicago at Print 17, which ended on Thursday 14th September.
Their joint stand was solidly booked on all four days of the show. Live demonstrations of their software integration showed how printing companies can give their customers 24/7 access to the estimating engine within an MIS, allowing them to create their own live quotations, on-demand. End users can also check their order history and inventory, all via a self-service web-to-print portal.
The two giants with global industry expertise believe the integration will transform how customers manage their print or packaging workflow.
Lee Ward, Tharstern’s Global Sales Director, Lee Ward, said: “We’ve had a fantastic response over the four days, which was beyond expectations. Visitors showed enormous interest in our collaboration with Infigo Software and a real understanding of what can be achieved to help their businesses grow and improve efficiencies. People can see that, through this integration, the estimates created by the user are production-ready, so can be sent straight to press. We’ve been showing how this allows the estimating team to concentrate on more complex estimates that may come through an RFQ channel.”
He added: “Our collaboration with Infigo Software delivers a new level of workflow efficiency and powerful e-commerce capabilities for customers. Print 17 was an exciting format to launch the latest innovations and demonstrate our new functionality and modules.”
The Tharstern/Infigo Software industry first for on-demand quotations enables printing companies to meet the needs of the ‘always on, digital first’ customer. Using a custom branded ordering portal, the end user can access the powerful estimating engine within the Tharstern MIS and create their own print estimates on demand. The functionality will also benefit sales teams who can use it to create their own instant prices, making it easier to close deals while still on-site.
At the heart of the integration is the Infigo Software Catfish platform, an easy-to-use, tailored online portal that delivers a great user experience. For Tharstern, the worldwide specialist in management information systems for the print and packaging industries, its latest two modules – Business Intelligence and Advanced Imposition – have also been highlighted at Print 17.
The integration between the two powerful solutions uses the Tharstern API and automates functions such as product mapping, job specification and submission, estimating, reporting, imposition, stock management, billing and shipping into a streamlined workflow.
