Inca Digital appoints Business Development Manager

Inca Digital, a manufacturer of large format inkjet printing technology, has appointed Dr Nigel Sherman as its first Business Development Manager.

Since it was established 10 years ago, Inca has been at the forefront of inkjet development, bringing a range of innovative flatbed printers including the flagship Inca Onset, the Onset S20 and the Spyder range, all sold exclusively by Fujifilm into the graphics sector worldwide. While large format printing will remain a priority for the company, there are strong commercial prospects for Inca's inkjet technology in a diverse range of other new sectors. Nigel's appointment will enable the company to identify and develop these opportunities.

He brings a wealth of commercial and technical expertise to the new business development role at Inca. A Chartered Physicist he has extensive experience within the digital print sector, working with Videojet on new product development, and then in business development for an optical switch company.

"I am delighted to welcome Nigel to the Inca team," says Dr Linda Bell, CEO. "He has the right mix of skills and experience to spearhead the company's commercial expansion into new areas. The sophistication and capabilities of inkjet technology have evolved very quickly and with him on board we are in a strong position to evaluate and take advantage of these new opportunities to further grow the business."

"Inca is a pioneer in the field of inkjet printing and has an excellent track record in bringing innovative products to market," adds Nigel. "There are interesting applications out there and I will be actively looking at ways in which we can expand the reach of Inca's fast evolving digital technology by adapting it to suit new market needs. Many Inca customers are already entering new sectors using our existing graphics printers, such as in industrial and consumer product decoration, and we will be exploring these in greater depth."
