Leeds-based print company, Imageco, have partnered with Make it Happen to launch their sustainability bootcamp for the print, signage, graphics, and display industries in the North of England.
Make it Happen is a unique resource for the signage and display industry, who provide product sales, workshops and consultancy within their industry to encourage new ideas and practices. They launched their sustainability bootcamps last year to bring together companies and individuals to learn, discuss and share knowledge and ideas. Their next bootcamp is coming to Leeds, with Imageco.
Sam Armstrong, Founder and CEO of Make it Happen, stated “As a friend and a fellow work colleague, Nathan was one of our ‘guinea pigs’ on the trial run of the new Sustainability Bootcamp. As an industry champion for sustainability, who better to ask?!
We are excited to have this opportunity of a new partnership and location within Imageco’s office in Leeds. This will enable us to offer attendees a chance to see a sustainability success story first hand.”
The one-day course on the 22nd of February will run from 9am-4pm at Imageco’s office in Leeds and is set to educate attendees on how they can appeal to the emerging wave of discerning green buyers through developing their commitment to sustainability. The course covers:
- Sustainability Principles & Legislation
- Saving Energy & Resources
- Recycling & Waste Streams
- Eco-Materials and Credentials
- Design for Sustainability
- ESG Reports and Tenders
Previous course attendee, Adam Davies of Cog Studio said "This is an invaluable resource for the entire industry. So many misconceptions I had have been corrected and my clients will ultimately benefit. I can’t wait to see how this evolves and develops as the subject does. Onwards and upwards."
Imageco are the perfect partner for Make it Happen to run their sustainability bootcamp due to their existing deep commitment to make their services offering as green as possible by using less carbon-intensive materials. They are able to do this by partnering with likeminded companies such as HP and EFI. Imageco is also ISO 14001 certified and have won a plethora of sustainability award, including Managing Director, Nathan Swinson-Bullough being named an Exemplar in the Net Zero category at The Manufacturer Top 100 2022 awards. Nathan is also on the board of FESPA, and has dedicated a large amount of time to educating the print sector on the huge need to pioneer greener practices.
Nathan Swinson-Bullough, Managing Director at Imageco says “Partnering with Make it Happen is a great way for us to increase the amount of influence we can have on making the print industry a more sustainable place. The print industry notoriously uses a lot of plastic, and contributes to growing CO2 levels, so educating people on how to do better without sacrificing the quality of their work.”
