Guandong is confirmed as the Specialty Specialist, with the presentation of the new OWV-polyester, the latest novelty for applications on glass.
The result of over five years of applied research, this third-generation micro-perforated film combines the experience gained with the classic One Way Vision in PVC with the advantages of an innovative and versatile material such as polyester. "The new OWV by Guandong offers unprecedented opportunities, opening the gates to an almost unlimited range of new applications" - says new CEO Daniele Faoro with satisfaction.
Thanks to its perfect dimensional stability and flatness, the new OWV-polyester can in fact also be mounted on roll-ups, banners and movable panels. Specifically designed to be applied on the inside of the glass, this product also guarantees a series of concrete advantages ranging from the elimination of possible vandalism to greater ease of window cleaning. "As with all Guandong supports, for the new OWV we have also paid special attention to ecological aspects." – adds Faoro. Made with partially recycled raw materials, the polyester contained in the new OWV is totally recyclable and similar to urban solid waste such as standard PET bottles. All this without compromising on quality, performance and versatility. Furthermore, OWV-polyester has a guaranteed ageing resistance of over 3 years and is perfectly printable using any digital technologies currently available: from Latex to soft UV, from UVgel to eco-solvent, to toner.

In line with the hashtag #theSpecialitieSpecialist, many special, ad hoc supports have been developed by Guandong's R&D department, in order to broaden the horizons of digital printing by promoting new trends, from the multi-functional magnetic boards signed by Mr Bordon to the great M&F Magnetic/Iron family, developed in response to the famous Guandong payoff “Change your image in 1 minute”. And, of course, Texon for highest quality backlits, and Mr Magnus, the paper support line in A3 Plus and 50x70cm formats, for laser printing, UV desktops, screen printing and digital offset.
