Greenhouse Graphics, based in Bramley in Hampshire was first established in 1993 as a digital artwork and pre press business with the aim of providing a more sustainable print service than anything readily available in the market at the time.
More than 25 years on, the company now specialises in litho and sheet fed printing, graphic design and artwork services, plus large format printing and signage.
With customers ranging from community magazines to large multi national PLC organisations, Greenhouse Graphics see the growth areas of their business are in the large format and creative design departments as well as online business.
To increase production capacity they decided to invest in an Agfa Anapurna H1650i LED which would allow a speedier turnaround of numerous projects.
Ian Crossley, Managing Director of Greenhouse Graphics commented, “Our new investment allows us much faster printing of posters, banners, wall coverings, boxes, boards, etc and enables the business to not only take on extra work but also deliver a more efficient service to our customers. The printer was purchased through inkjet specialists Josero who demonstrated an exceptional understanding of large format machines and digital cutters. We were impressed with the speed and the low ink usage of the Agfa Anapurna H1650i LED.”
The installation ran very smoothly and the machine has been in full production as expected following the three day installation and training process. It sits alongside numerous other equipment at Greenhouse Graphics, including the Komori Lithrone 429 H-UV B2 Printing Press, Screen 250lpi 4300E Hazardous Waste Free CTP, the Zund S3 M-1600 digital cutting and routing table, Morgana numbering, folding, perforating and creasing machines and the Ricoh C910 CMYK Digital sheet-fed press.
Greenhouse Graphics currently has fourteen employees working in the litho print and finishing area, the large format area as well as a number of designers, accounts managers and sales staff, and could well look to expand further in the future.
Loic Delor, Managing Director of Josero said, “We’re delighted Ian opted for the Agfa Anapurna H1650i LED to replace his ageing Screen Truepress flatbed UV printer. It is a huge leap forward in production speed without compromising on quality. Ian needed the upgrade to deliver big volume jobs in a constantly tightening delivery schedule. Ian has a great deal of experience in wide format printing sector and carried out extensive research and testing before selecting the H1650i LED.”
Ian concluded, “This machine is the ideal choice for us, increasing the production capacity of our business whilst retaining a high quality end product.”
