The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association recognized three of Fisher Textiles’ fabric medias in the categories of Apparel, Banner and Flag for the Association's prestigious 2018 Product of the Year competition.
This year’s competition included 68 categories and a record setting field of 255 submissions. Fisher’s winning fabric medias include ET 3200 Hoodie, GF 4019 Nirvana B.O.B. and DD 7801 Flag.
ET 3200 Hoodie, winner of the 2018 Product of the Year Award for Media — Textile Apparel, is a French terry sweatshirt material that is made in the USA from recycled yarns spun from PET bottles. This fabric is 92% Repreve Recycled Polyester, 8% Spandex and inherently treated with a moisture management system that promotes dryness. It has a four way stretch for easy movement and can be printed on either the face side or the loop. As its name states, it is used for hoodies and also scarves, sweat shirts and sweat pants.
GF 4019 Nirvana B.O.B., winner of the 2018 Product of the Year Award for Media — Textile Banner, is the industry's breakthrough banner fabric for 2018. This soft knit fabric has a white face and a finished black back, offering a two in one solution for printable fabric with a built-in liner. Key features are the soft hand, white point with a Delta E value less than 1.0, ability to cold cut, and 100% opacity, providing cost savings in material and labor. It is 126 inches wide, maximizing production efficiency and expanding usage options for large scale banner applications.
DD 7801 Flag, winner of the 2018 Product of the Year Award for Media — Textile Flag, is the industry’s leading choice for flags because of its extreme durability and high-quality printability. It is engineered to withstand the outdoors, has a very nice drape and gives a considerable amount of bleed through onto the backside. This fabric has a treatment for direct printing, the preferred print method for outdoor longevity because it drives the ink further into the fiber, offering improved colorfastness, promoting longer use and better color vibrancy.
