FESPA UK announces their first event of the year ‘Future of Print Industry Forum’, held at Hatfield House on the 10th of March 2022.
The day will be an open discussion based around their current waste management program, sustainability in print, along with other topics which look at employee wellbeing, business development and how to adapt for the future.
The afternoon will begin with a networking lunch, which will offer the delegates the opportunity to meet the sponsors and learn more about how they are supporting the industry. Then rather than the age-old format of endless presentations, the day will take a more conversational tone, with a panel of industry experts and successful printers, who will engage with the audience to answer questions, discuss strategies, and offer an insight into their own business models.
After an overwhelming number of printers have registered for the waste management program with FESPA UK, this is an opportunity to move the initiative forward, where likeminded printers can come together and help to create a real infrastructure for waste collection, not only of the initial requested materials PVC Banner and Polypropylene, but to discuss other materials that printers struggle to collect enough of to recycle or just can’t find an outlet for the substrate to go to other than landfill or incineration. Suzi Wilkinson, Managing Director of FESPA UK Association says:
“This open discussion, is about coming together as a community, making a change together, and making a lasting commitment as an industry for the future. FESPA UK is all about community and if we work together, we are so much stronger, than when we work alone”
The day will also focus on employment and the importance of maintaining a healthy mindset for workforces within the printing industry, along with a talented business coach who will give advice and guidance on adapting for the future, offering the delegates a varied discussion that looks at business development as a whole.
FESPA UK Association bring together the talents of wide-format digital, textile, industrial and specialist printers across the UK. We aim to grow and evolve the printing industry through our vast number of board members sharing their best innovations and solutions, creating an infrastructure that is accessible and comprehensible to the entire printing industry.
