Express Image, Inc., a family-owned company based in Minnesota for over 70 years, has boosted its printer line-up with the purchase of three HP Latex R2000 hybrid presses.
Offering a wide variety of print solutions, Express Image specialises in delivering outdoor durable, UV resistant decals, labels, and signage. These HP installations represent a move to support rapid growth, reach new markets and to shift current UV inkjet output to latex technology.
Further expanding its growing digital capabilities, Express Image has chosen the HP Latex R2000 for its ability to print on flexible and rigid materials, providing the additional versatility needed to print on a range of substrates.
“We chose to invest in three HP Latex R2000 presses because of the superior print resolution, improved colour gamut, superior white ink results, and other significant HP Latex Technology advantages”, commented Jeff Sarenpa, Owner of Express Image. “These three presses will allow us to transition some existing legacy print to superior latex output. We looked at various UV inkjet alternatives over the last couple of years, but while the quality and speed are certainly good, the outdoor lightfastness, flexibility, adhesion, and elongation is simply better with HP Latex.”
The attractive environmental profile of the HP Latex technology was a key factor that influenced Express Image’s decision. With UL ECOLOGO certified water-based HP Latex Ink, and the ability to print on a wide variety of eco-conscious media choices, HP Latex presses also benefit from being able to utilise HP Eco-Carton ink cartridges. The HP Eco-Carton ink cartridges reduce plastic by 80% and CO2e by 66%, while contributing towards zero landfill through local recycling of the carboard outer carton, and free take-back of the inner ink bag via the HP Planet Partners programme.
