eurolaser celebrates anniversary with in-house exhibition

eurolaser celebrates its company anniversary with in-house exhibition.

On 11th and 12th September, the INNOVATION DAYS took place at eurolaser GmbH in Lüneburg.

Due to the 25th anniversary of the company, the in-house exhibition offered live demonstrations on a total of nine laser systems to the more than 250 guests on both days. In this way, the versatility and performance of the laser cutting systems was vividly illustrated. The supporting programme consisted of lectures and a partner exhibition. With best weather, there was a lively exchange of ideas between employees, partners and guests in all company rooms and in the outdoor area, which was followed by a relaxed celebration on Wednesday evening.

Since 1994, eurolaser has been the specialist for CO2 laser cutters which could cut almost all nonmetals materials. The company is specialised in the processing of acrylic, wood, textile and foil. Laser cut products can be found in every day-to-day life, from clothing to membrane switches to furniture and interior fittings in cars. Initially based in Hamburg and Seevetal, eurolaser moved into the business premises at its present location in Borsigstraße in Lüneburg in 2009. Currently, there are more than 100 employees, and the company is constantly growing. Thanks to its motivated workforce, eurolaser has been one of the top 100 innovators in Germany since this year. Over the past 25 years, over 100 young people have completed their training at eurolaser: as technicians, as merchants or in service. In order to retain the wealth of ideas and enthusiasm, eurolaser recently launched the internal Innovation Lab. Here, employees under the age of 25, who are younger than the company today, exchange ideas and develop ideas for the future.

Living history at eurolaser
In addition to the latest technologies and the exchange of trends and developments in the industry, the INNOVATION DAYS also exhibited various machines from the past. Founder and Managing Director Matthias Kluczinski reports: ‘Even until today, our very first system delivered with the serial number 1 is still in operation. We are proud of the longevity of our systems, which shows our sustainable, holistic corporate philosophy.'

On the way to the green company
From the beginning, it has been the concern of the managing director not only to develop high-quality technology, but also to produce and trade sustainably. Currently, the company has come several big steps towards this goal. Between February 2018 and May 2019, numerous redevelopment measures were carried out that significantly reduce CO2 emissions, lower overall energy costs and, through a combination of photovoltaics and a combined heat and power plant, supply the entire building phase with self-generated energy. In several stages of construction, the façade was rebuilt with recyclable raw materials, the heating system renewed and the entire lighting converted to LED. Daylight atmosphere in the offices, draught-free ventilation and efficient heating by radiant ceiling panels in production ensure healthy working conditions throughout the company.
