Epson prepares to showcase new technology at The Print Show

Epson prepares for new technology showcase at The Print Show 2019.

Epson has revealed that it will use The Print Show 2019 to demonstrate new technology in the UK for the first time, with the digital print giant saying the event offers “huge opportunities” for visitors to find out how they can grow their print business.

Epson was one of the first brands to commit to The Print Show 2019, taking on its largest stand to date in order to showcase as many of its solutions as possible. It will be joined by the likes of HP, Xeretec (Xerox), RISO, Intec Printing Solutions, Xeikon, Premier Paper, Vivid Laminating Technologies and Renz.

The manufacturer will invite visitors to find out how Epson kit can help them to access profitable work in new markets. Among the technology on the Epson stand this year will be the new bulk ink system for the SureSolor S series eco-solvent printer, which Epson says will deliver significant productivity gains and enhanced profitability for volume users.

Also being showcased for the first time in the UK at the show this September will be the EcoTex synthetic leather print solution, utilising the SureColor S60600 printer. Visitors can also learn about the latest developments in the Epson dye sublimation offering and an expansion of its CAD printer range.

Alongside this new kit, Epson will be demonstrating a number of its established solutions, including its full portfolio of SureColor large-format printer models, as it seeks to appeal to visitors from a wide range of backgrounds.

Speaking about the event, Phil McMullin, sales manager for ProGraphics at Epson UK, says Epson and The Print Show will help visitors identify the solutions they need to grow their business in what is a highly competitive market.

“In this challenging business climate of uncertainty and squeezed margins, we are aiming to show print service providers how, with relatively low investment, they can win more of the branding opportunities within their existing customer base,” McMullin said.

“These new branding opportunities not only represent additional margin but help to protect existing business from competitors by offering a one stop shop service.”

“The Print Show is a shop window on a huge number of new opportunities that PSPs will not see just on the web or via a brochure.”

McMullin says he has great confidence in The Print Show, primarily due to the success Epson has experienced at previous editions of the event. Epson has had a presence at the show since its launch in 2015; first through its reseller partner Colourbyte and more recently on its own stand.

“From an Epson, perspective we know from past experience that our customers do not always grasp the full possibilities of our products until they have seen them in action,” McMullin says.

“Trade shows such as The Print Show are a very important opportunity for stimulating ideas and without support from the industry will struggle to survive.

“So come along and ensure that the UK print industry has a healthy future!”

The exhibitor list for The Print Show 2019 continues to grow, with organisers confirming a number of new additions to the floorplan in recent weeks. Among the latest companies to commit are Tharstern, Xeikon, The Solution Shop, James Burn International, Rhino Cutting Mats and Equipment, Siltech, Amaya and Route1Print.

The Print Show 2019 will take place from September 17th to 19th at the NEC in Birmingham.
