Durst P10 250 HS Plus and Rhotex 325 drive growth at 3 Sixty

Commercial printer company 3 Sixty continues to drive forward after a two-machine Durst investment at its headquarters in Capital Business Park, Cardiff.

The Durst Rhotex 325 combines direct-to-textile printing and transfer paper with dye sublimation transfer printing technology. Both this and a Durst P10 250 HS Plus hybrid system provide the platform for further growth opportunities for 3 Sixty.

Richard Inkin, Managing Director of 3 Sixty, said: “ We spent a huge amount of time and effort understanding all technologies available but after visiting the two factories at Durst in Lienz (Austria) and Brixen (northern Italy) we began to understand that Durst produces more than just a manufacturing machine, they are precision engineered. Quality and flexibility are paramount, speed is secondary but provides a huge bonus. Durst has been an extremely supportive company, delivering on time and helping us through the transition.”

Now employing 31 people and with the current £3.1million turnover expected to jump to over £4million this year, the two Durst machines now installed are changing the landscape for 3 Sixty. With its original roots in retail, which continues to grow, 3 Sixty is now firmly establishing itself in the home interiors, exhibitions and events sectors.

Said Richard: “We’ve come a long way since our inception. This current investment in both super-wide UV and dye sublimation machines completes our three year purchase strategy. We now have the fire power and diversity of machinery to grow both our client base and the numerous sectors we work in. The increased capacity will also add value to our national installation service.”

“Audit, print and installation are at the heart of our business. Sometimes it’s just audit, sometimes just print and other times just install – but at least a third of our work combines 2 of the 3 elements. We work closely with clients to deliver high quality graphic projects on time and in budget, printing on a vast array of materials across every conceivable marketplace. These include retail, events, hospitality, leisure and manufacturing sectors, as well as the contract and domestic interiors market.”

Peter Bray, Managing Director of Durst UK and Ireland, said: “When customers such as 3 Sixty invest in our systems and benefit from a personal visit to our production plants in Lienz and Brixen, they are also buying into the Durst ethos and world-class expertise that gives them the confidence to expand their business into new markets. We’re extremely proud that our systems are the catalyst to help them grow. The Durst P10 dramatically ramps up capacity and quality and takes 3 Sixty on to a completely different level, while the Rhotex 325 will help Richard and his team to expand into the new markets.”
