CSL to host Lightbar demonstrations on Roland stand at SDUK

Visitors can find the Lightbar at the centre of the Roland DG stand, H30

Lightbar roll to roll UV print technology will be demonstrated on the Roland DG stand at Sign and Digital UK once again this year.

Lightbar printers made their debut at this exhibition three years ago and this UV print technology is now firmly established as an industry standard for sign, display and commercial applications that require an instantly usable, immediately durable print solution.

Lightbar printers and printer/cutters are based on class leading Roland DG technology and Roland DG (UK) Ltd. has actively supported Lightbar product development through its innovative Partner Solutions programme. As a result, all new Lightbar printers are supplied with a comprehensive warranty, delivered by RolandCare, on behalf of the Partner Solutions provider - CSL Digital.

Nick Wintle, Managing Director, CSL Digital, comments: “It’s a real privilege to be demonstrating our Lightbar UV print technology on the Roland DG stand as part of the Partner Solutions programme. I’d like to thank the team at Roland DG UK for making it possible once again this year. It’s a fantastic opportunity to highlight the success that Lightbar has achieved with Roland over the past twelve months and it provides an amazing launchpad to introduce some exciting new product developments too.”

Exploiting the latest advances in UV initiated ink chemistry, Lightbar systems use a stationary, low energy UV lamp (that spans the entire width of the media) to cure the print permanently before it leaves the printer. As a result, there’s no requirement to allow any additional time for drying or degassing. Lightbar owners also report a substantial reduction in the need to laminate, often reserving it for only the harshest outdoor applications such as site hoardings and vehicle graphics.

The minimal use of heat and the absence of any odours resulting from the printing process also adds to Lightbar’s green credentials for applications that involve sensitive environments. What’s more, this time-saving print technology sacrifices nothing in terms of print appearance or media usability. The Lightbar colour gamut is impressively wide and incredibly vibrant. UV Light inks have no adverse effect on the conformability of face films or the performance of adhesives; making a Lightbar printer an indispensable asset for companies involved in vehicle wrapping.

The unique formulation of UV Light ink is a closely guarded secret, however, it’s common knowledge that UV Light inks contain more colour pigment and far less carrier than alternatives like latex. That means UV Light inks deliver much greater print coverage per litre than other comparable inks. As such, Lightbar UV print technology has proved to be a highly competitive and financially compelling choice for sign, display and commercial print companies looking to save money whilst taking advantage of its instant application properties and formidable resistance to abrasion and chemicals.

Nick Wintle concludes: “We’re really looking forward to demonstrating all that Lightbar UV print technology has to offer throughout the three days of the show. We’ll be offering visitors to Sign and Digital UK a broad selection of print samples, everything from self-adhesive vinyl to wallpaper, to test and take away. There’s no better way to appreciate the practical benefits than by handling a print taken straight from a Lightbar printer.”

Visitors to Sign and Digital UK 2016 will find Lightbar at the centre of the Roland DG stand – H30. The Sign and Digital UK exhibition runs between the 19th and 21st of April 2016 at the NEC, Birmingham.
