CSL Digital is holding an Open House Event in September (11th -14th) to launch a new Roland Demonstration Centre and showcase its printing, cutting and finishing technologies.
CSL Digital supplies and supports wide format digital printing and cutting systems throughout the UK, representing several major manufacturers. The company has recently invested in a comprehensive range of Roland print and cut technologies to create a new Roland Demonstration Centre for London and the South East at its showrooms in Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
To celebrate the creation of the new Roland Demonstration Centre and to introduce several other new technologies to the market, CSL is staging its own Open House event from the 11th to the 14th of September. “We’re planning a very relaxed, informal event for companies and sole traders with an interest in printing, cutting or finishing.” comments Huw Davies, Marketing Director, “It will be an ideal opportunity for visitors to get some real ‘hands on’ experience with the latest technologies and do some serious research. Something that can prove difficult in an exhibition environment. We also recognise that it’s not always easy to take time out during a busy 9 - 5 day, even if it is to look at new equipment for the business, that’s why we’re opening our showroom doors early (8am) and staying late (10pm) during the Open House event.”
On display and available for demonstration will be everything from Roland’s impressive SOLJET EJ-640 high production printer to the entry level desktop BN-20 printer/cutter. There is also the class leading SOLJET XR-640 and latest TrueVIS VG printer/cutters, the ever popular VersaEXPRESS RF-640 printers and the amazingly versatile VersaUV LEF Direct to Object printers for visitors to get excited about. Those visitors looking for an intelligent cutting partner for their printer or an outstanding cutting plotter to cut all those hard to handle self-adhesives will not be disappointed either as there’s a new CAMM1 GR Series in the new Roland Demonstration Centre too.
Huw Davies continues, “In addition to the very latest Roland print and cut technologies, we’re also using the event to launch a new range of attractively priced laminators and flatbed mounting equipment. Our print and finishing experts will be on hand to offer samples, answer any questions and provide practical advice. We’ve also lined up some very special offers for all those that consider the purchase of new equipment. Companies are welcome to call in to our Open House for ten minutes or stay all day. The BBQ will be hot and the beers will be cold!”
The Open House event will also be the first opportunity for many to acquaint themselves with the new, ink efficient, DuraUV 1600 printer. Developed by CSL and based on a popular Roland printer platform, the DuraUV 1600 is a 4 colour,1.6m UV LED printer that delivers all the advantages of UV printing, in an easy to use format, with the added benefits of low running costs. Following on this UV theme, visitors will definitely want to test drive the Fujifilm Acuity 1600 II UV LED printer. This ‘hybrid’ printer has industrial grade printheads that run 6 colours plus white and gloss. What’s more, it can print on roll media and rigid sheet materials up to 13mm thick. White ink printing is becoming increasingly important to companies involved in the sign and display industry. With this in mind, CSL plans to demonstrate the differences between solvent and UV white ink printing and provide print samples of both for visitors to evaluate and take away.
In addition to all the exciting hardware, there will be opportunities to learn more about the software, inks and materials associated with printing too. Versaworks RIP masterclasses and media profiling workshops will be held throughout the four days of CSL’s Open House event. If visitors want to find out more about the print finishing side of things, they’ll have a chance to learn to laminate like the experts with practical training available every day. This will also provide visitors with first hand experience of CSL’s new range of laminators and flatbed mounting tables.
