The Market’s Fastest Wide Format Scanners Can Now Pair With the Market’s Fastest Printer.
Contex has announced that its Nextimage Repro scanning software now supports the HP PageWide XL Printer portfolio. With this capability, Contex is making it possible for the market’s fastest wide format scanners to print to the market’s fastest printer. Like all application printer drivers, this capability is at no cost to Contex customers, and is immediately available for Nextimage Repro users.
“Contex builds intelligence into Nextimage Repro that simplifies the scanning, copying and printing process,” comments Morten, Marketing Director, Contex A/S. “By developing an application printer driver for the HP PageWide XL Printer portfolio, we are making it possible for Contex customers to get the most accurate output, while taking advantage of the exceptional scanning and printing speeds”
Application Printer Drivers vs Windows Printer Drivers
With the HP PageWide XL Printer driver support, Contex solidifies its position as the wide format scanning technology leader supporting the most output devices, now exceeding 60 printers. Exclusive to Contex wide format scanners, these drivers surpass regular Windows printer drivers in both speed and ease of use, especially with variable large formats.
The application printer drivers are built into Nextimage Repro, which automatically detects new networked devices. To begin printing to HP PageWide XL Printers, Contex customers simply need to plug the printer into the Contex scanner.or network. Within seconds, Nextimage Repro can send scans to print.
Perfect Colour from Scan to Print
Contex’s colour calibration wizard ensures colour accuracy between the scanned image and output. The wizard walks users through the steps to calibrate the scanner and printer. The Nextimage feature ensures that the colour in the scan matches the colour in the output.
The multi-function scanning and copying or printing capabilities are only available in Nextimage Repro. Nextimage Scan + Archive customers can upgrade to the Repro version for a nominal fee. Free software trials are available for download.
