Colourgen will be at Sign and Digital UK for the 17th year running, this year presenting new Mutoh large format sign and display printers and solutions. Also on the stand will be laminators from Kala, a broad range of media products, and software solutions from Caldera and Sai.
New at the show will be the Mutoh ValueJet 1638UH (64”). This is Mutoh’s first ever dual head LED UV printer delivering increased print, cure performance and versatility. Accommodating roll media and rigid boards with a CMYK ink set-up, the VJ-1638UH can also print white and varnish to handle transparent or coloured substrates without losing saturation or to create special print effects and multi-layer printing for added value.
Key products also on show include the Mutoh 426UF, an A3+ LED UV printer designed for printing personalised products, labels and gadgets. Since its launch at Sign and Digital last year, the printer has been installed in many locations, delivering a broad range of applications, from labels and gifts to trophies and even condom wrappers!
Colourgen will also be showing the new Mutoh print/cut solution, the Summa R140 FX cutter with the 64” ValueJet 1604X and ValueJet 1624X with Eco Ultra ink. Finishing applications will be shown on the Kala Arkane 1650 laminator. All printers will be supported by Caldera VisualRIP+ and SAi.
Jeff Biggs, managing director of Colourgen, comments: “Colourgen will be focusing very heavily on the excellent range of Mutoh printers, particularly those models that are brand new to the UK market. Also we are actively encouraging signmakers to see the capabilities of those printers that are ostensibly outside of their core business, such as the ValueJet 426UF, that could open doors to new applications, incremental revenues and increased profitability.”
