Surrey-based Boss Dog is a well-established vehicle wrapping expert.
Leading the pack when it came to competitors, Boss Dog has wrapped for some seriously big names including Chelsea footballer David Luiz and ITV.
Being established vehicle wrappers and avid Roland advocates for the past 10 years, Luca Cabano, Boss Dog’s Owner and Founder, realised the company had grown to needing an investment in a new print and cut machine that allowed them to increase speed, ultimately culminating in faster turnaround to manage the workload they were receiving.
Having already a long standing relationship with Roland reseller printMAX, Luca explained his situation to Chris Martin, printMAX sales manager, that he wanted a machine that offered them both speed and quality allowing Boss Dog to continue offering superior print quality.
In comes the XR640. “A perfect machine for their requirements” explains Chris Martin. “The XR-640 has proven to be a highly popular model in the industry, offering high quality print performance without compromising on production time” adding that “The XR allows no boundaries to imagination!”
Luca adds: “We have always used Roland printers; we are confident with running the machines so when Chris introduced us to the XR-640 we were very excited with the prospects it could offer us."
Asking Luca what were the main reasons behind the purchase he explained: “For us at Boss Dog, we needed something that could offer us quality, as we pride ourselves in offering high quality wraps but the printer we invested in had to offer us speed as well, we feel the XR-640 offers this.
“Historically we have used Roland, so we know the RIP software and we feel comfortable with running Roland machines. The XR-640 offers us quality and reliability, which is the comfort we need in our business to complete our ever increasing work load”.
Luca is enthusiastic about the future with the XR 640 explaining: “Looking to the future we have exciting things planned for the printer! But one of the coolest jobs so far is wrapping 5 taxi cabs for ITV’s Thunderbirds TV show. We have also wrapped a Jeep for Chelsea Football player David Luiz which can be seen on our Instagram”.
Boss Dog and printMAX have had a long standing relationship Luca explains what he looks for in a supplier: “We look for price in a supplier but predominantly look for great customer surfaces, printMAX offer us both of these things, and we will certainly be using them again in the future.”
Boss Dog are promoters of Roland machines having a Roland VS640 already in their production line, Luca discloses: “Whilst we already knew Roland machines, the install went smoothly and we thank printMAX for a very good install process and support, offering us 2 days of training, meaning we could really get to grips with the new machine allowing us to get printing jobs straight away”.
“My overall opinion of printMAX is very good, they always have my best interests in mind, they are always happy to help with hardware and consumable questions and we would recommend them to others”.
