SENFA will be showcasing the SGIA award-winning Sublimis media on its booth (#3023) at SGIA 2018. The company will also be launching an updated version of its eco-friendly Alterra printable textile media and the new range of Decomind-branded substrates at the event.
Taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center on 18-20 October 2018, SGIA brings together print specialists, businesses and buyers from around the world to take part in conferences, networking and educational sessions.
Award-winning Sublimis range
SENFA will be showcasing its Sublimis media for transfer and direct sublimation printing at SGIA 2018. Designed to open up new backlit graphics applications for dye sublimation printing technology, the product was recently awarded the SGIA Product of the Year 2018 in the media/textile/framing system category.
Even as a coated media, Sublimis is more lightweight than many of the uncoated textiles typically used for backlit applications, meaning it's cheaper to transport and easier to install. The light diffusion is also excellent thanks to Sublimis' unique formula.
With Sublimis, ink migration is a thing of the past and printers using sublimation technology can now aspire to hitting the very best possible white point and delivering the punchy colours that only coated media can provide.
Eco-friendly Alterra textile
SENFA will also highlight its updated Alterra product at SGIA Expo - a logical step in SENFA's eco-design management strategy to offer sustainable products. An easy-to-install printable textile product - and the winner of the SGIA Product of the Year 2017 award in the media/textile/framing system category - Alterra offers a greener alternative to PVC substrates, meeting demand from international brands and advertisers.
The product has been developed to deliver the same exacting standards for which SENFA is renowned while using fewer non-renewable resources. Alterra fabric is woven using recycled fibres and then coated with SENFA's trademark smooth finish, ensuring stunning backlit graphics with all the necessary fire-retardancy certification.
100% of the Alterra material is recycled from PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic bottles. According to a study conducted by Plastic Europe, 1 tonne of PET recycled from plastic bottles equates to a saving of 2.29 tonnes of CO2. Recycling saves energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions; in simple terms, for every m² of Alterra fabric produced, SENFA integrates two bottles' worth of recycled plastic.
New! Decomind digital printing & interior application range
At SGIA, SENFA will launch its Decomind brand developed for digital printing and interior décor applications. Decomind by SENFA offers technically sophisticated interior design textile substrates that are made for the decoration of interior spaces and to create unique environments. Within the range, SENFA offers a high-performance acoustic solution - Deco Wall Sound - capable of absorbing sound reverberation in a room.
Thanks to its acoustic coating, Deco Wall Sound absorbs sound - from speech in particular - in busy spaces such as offices, restaurants, meeting rooms and more. Deco Wall Sound can be digitally printed, without affecting its noise reduction properties, and used to transform walls into display graphics or customised design pieces.
