On Stand D93 in Hall 7, AXYZ Automation Group will demonstrate the Trident CNC combined routing and cutting print finishing system.
The machine incorporates a triple-head routing/cutting configuration, comprising a high-performance routing spindle and combined tangential/oscillating knife-cutting units. Trident has been developed to meet the broader requirements of print finishing specialists that now have to process an ever increasing range of different substrates for which a wider, longer and deeper processing capability is needed that might prove too challenging for traditional routers.
Trident is available in different sizes and processing areas to accommodate virtually any length of material. Key design features include a solid steel frame construction to better accommodate more vigorous machine operation, a multi-station ATC (Automatic Tool Change) system, an exclusive live vacuum deck for optimum material hold-down efficiency and an integrated helical rack and pinion drive system. This latter feature incorporates a multiple gear teeth configuration that ensures more even distribution of the workload and radically reduced machine wear that enables greatly enhanced routing/cutting precision and ultimately a longer than normal machine life. Interchangeable blade attachments, up to 120mm long, provide increased cutting efficiency when processing harder, thicker and heavier materials.
Trident will handle a diverse range of rigid and flexible materials, including foamed substrates, aluminium and other non-ferrous metals, acrylic and plastic, corrugated board, vinyl, cardboard and paper.
