ITL appoints Achim Herzog as European Business Development Manager

UK-based imaging technology developer Integration Technology Ltd (ITL) is consolidating its Continental Europe operations with the appointment of Achim Herzog to the role of European Business Development Manager.   Southern Germany-based Herzog brings over a decade’s worth of experience in printing and UV curing to ITL.

He joins from Atlantic Zeiser where he was product manager for the digital and security printing division and worked formerly in sales and strategic development for ITL strategic partner, IST METZ.

Achim Herzog anticipates growing demand for ITL solutions not only from its traditional ink-jet printer market base but from emergent markets for UV LEDs and upcoming industrial applications.

“ITL benefits from having a strong research and development resource enabling rapid bespoke solutions to customers’ specific needs,” he says.  “My aim is to raise awareness of this and provide a local fast track response to our existing and potential European business.”

Fujifilm announces new head of European Graphic Systems Division

FUJIFILM Europe has announced that Mr Yasufumi Morimoto has been appointed as Senior Vice President, FUJIFILM Europe GmbH, with overall responsibility for the Graphic Systems Division in Europe. 

This move coincides with the creation of a new Fujifilm organisation in Japan called the FUJIFILM Global Graphic Systems Company Ltd. (FFGS) which will begin trading from October 1st 2012.  In addition to his appointment as the head of the Graphic Systems business in Europe, Mr. Morimoto has also been assigned as a board member of the new FFGS company in Japan.

FFGS has been formed by the integration of three organisations: FUJIFILM Graphic Systems Co. Ltd., a sales, marketing and technical services subsidiary for the Japanese market, FUJIFILM Simple Products Co. Ltd., a development and sales subsidiary of domestic print production workflow software, and FUJIFILM Corporation’s Graphic Systems Business Division, responsible for the global development of products for the Graphics market. The integration of these three separate businesses will strengthen Fujifilm’s ability to market Graphic Systems products worldwide. The new company will be responsible for the sales, marketing and technical support of Fujifilm Graphic System’s products worldwide.

Mr Yasufumi Morimoto first joined Fujifilm in 1984 and spent 18 years working in new product development, evaluation and quality assurance, spending some of this time at the Ashigara plate manufacturing facility. From 2002 to 2012 he was responsible for technical support and new product planning for graphics products at FUJIFILM Corporation’s Graphic Systems Division in Tokyo.

Earlier this year he moved to Düsseldorf to take up his new role of Senior Vice President, FUJIFILM Europe GmbH, succeeding Mr Ryuta Masui, in preparation for his place on the board of the newly formed FFGS company and head of the European Graphic Division.

Angelina Stojsavljevic appointed as Group Marketing Manager for Informa Print & Media Group

The Informa Print & Media Group has announced the appointment of Angelina Stojsavljevic to the position of Group Marketing Manager to strengthen its marketing team across a number of the company’s key events, including North Print & Pack 2013 and Ipex 2014. In her new role, Angelina will be supporting Marketing Director Nick Craig Waller with the implementation of these events’ extensive marketing communications programmes.

Angelina is a seasoned industry professional with more than 10 years’ marketing and exhibitions experience. Most recently, she relocated from the Informa Dubai office, where she was overseeing the company’s Middle East consumer portfolio and global series of pro audio and lighting events for the past six years.

In her new role, one of Angelina’s key responsibilities will be to run the marketing programme for North Print & Pack, working very closely with the Sales Manager Mary Buck on adding value to exhibitor’s event objectives and maximising their presence at the event. In addition, for Ipex 2014 she will manage the international visitor promotions campaign with a particular focus on emerging markets, as well as other strategic and promotional activities.

New appointment at Oasis Graphic Co

Oasis Graphic Co has appointed Shaun Wharton as a large format print finisher and installer. Shaun joins the company with 10 years in the sign and graphics trade under his belt, bringing with him a wealth of experience in every role from print production to team, project and installation management.

Shaun started in the industry in 2002 producing vinyl graphics, and has steadily grown his skills to encompass every aspect of the large format print business. Shaun is looking forward to putting his knowledge of the complete product cycle to good use at Oasis, helping the company maintain its reputation for quality and service.

Four Pees appoints Patrick Van Dam as European Sales Director

Four Pees has appointed Patrick Van Dam as its new Sales Director for Europe.  An experienced professional with a degree in industrial engineering, Patrick has worked in the print and publishing industry for more than 25 years.

He started his career as a software developer at Philips Eindhoven and has since then occupied various positions in sales and marketing. Patrick previously worked at Agfa, Visual International, Enfocus, Alwan Color Expertise and Descartes Systems Group, where he was mainly responsible for expanding the network of worldwide consultants and distributors as well as developing new communication and marketing strategies.

“After a short sidestep outside of the print and publishing industry I am excited to take on this challenge,” says Van Dam. “Having worked with the management team of Four Pees previously, this feels a bit like a homecoming. Soyang appoints Jos Kattengeld as continental sales manager

Soyang has appointed Jos Kattenbeld to the role of continental sales manager responsible for Benelux, Germany and Scandinavia.

Jos has extensive experience working in the offset and printing industry in Europe.  He recently returned to reside in Holland having spent 6 years in New Zealand where he worked in the large format digital printing industry for companies including Panda Visuals and Halifax Vogel Group.

He has a good understanding of end-user requirements and this will enable him to advise customers on the most suitable, cost-effective Soyang product for every application.
