Analysing Drytac’s partnership with Premier Paper Group

Analysing Drytac’s partnership with Premier Paper Group.

Drytac recently announced a major restructuring to its UK distribution, with Premier Paper Group being appointed as its exclusive supply partner in the UK and Ireland for all wide format print media. LFR spoke to Hayden Kelley, CEO at Drytac, to find out more about the deal and how it will benefit customers across the region.

Earlier this month, news broke that Premier would be taking over as the exclusive stockist of Drytac’s wide format materials in the UK and Ireland. The deal will see Premier distribute a range of Drytac’s products and solutions.

The arrangement expands a relationship that began back in July when the two companies started working together, with the new, all-encompassing deal having significant reach and scope across both the print and signage industries.

Premier already supplies products for digital, office and litho print, as well as envelopes, packaging, and display items, to customers across numerous markets in the UK. Additionally, Irish customers are served by GPMI – Paper Supplies, Ireland’s largest independent graphics and paper merchants.

Speaking with LFR about the thinking behind the deal, Drytac CEO Hayden Kelley said that while the manufacturer is pleased with its current presence in both the UK and Irish markets, as well as with the number of customers using its products, the Premier deal will allow it to reach into even more areas.

“Firstly, I would like to say thank you and pay tribute to our previous partners in the UK and Ireland,” Hayden said. “They have worked tirelessly to help establish Drytac as the leading adhesives brand across both the print and signage markets, and we are very grateful for their support over the years.

“While we are pleased with how we have progressed so far, our ethos at Drytac is to continuously push for more growth. We are constantly looking at ways to reach more customers and make them aware of how Drytac products can help their business.

“It is no secret that Premier is one of the leading suppliers of materials for the printing and sign-making markets. They are working with customers across a whole range of industries, many of whom we think would be interested in what Drytac has to offer.

“Working with Premier grants us direct access to a network of customers that may never have heard of Drytac or know anything about our solutions. The partnership will help open doors to new areas for us to explore.”

Wide-ranging support network

As a major supplier, Premier has a network that stretches right across the UK, with facilities as far north as Glasgow up in Scotland, right down to Newton Abbot on the English Riviera in Devon. This puts Premier in a position to deliver Drytac products, quickly, to customers in any location.

Taking a quick glance at Premier’s website, the supplier pledges ‘Local Stocks. Local Service. Local People’, even with a promise of next-day delivery to customers in the Channel Islands. This reach, Hayden said, played a big part in Drytac’s decision to work with Premier.

“It’s fair to say you would be hard pushed to find a supplier as diversified as Premier with a network as large as this,” Hayden said. “At Drytac, our philosophy is to deliver the solutions that the customer needs as soon as we can. Working with Premier will allow us to do this.

“We are constantly working with our local suppliers in all markets to ensure the best quality product at the best price so that our customers can save on costs in the long run while still having access to the market leading qualities that have made our solutions so popular.

“With this in mind, we move into our new partnership with Premier in great spirits and very much look forward to working together to grow and diversify our respective businesses.”
