Textile finishing will be made an even more attractive theme at viscom 2019: from 8 to 10 January all renowned suppliers of embroidery machines and materials will be exhibiting their equipment, technologies and consumables at the Düsseldorf trade show.
Right next door – and freely accessible for viscom visitors – the new PromoTex Expo show will present innovations in advertising textiles, job fashion and sportswear. This way textile finishers and signmakers have an overview of what is happening on the markets of relevance to them within easy reach.
World first: yarn dyeing during embroidery
The main “port of call” is viscom hall 13. Here, for the first time ever, trade visitors can witness how yarns are dyed during the embroidery process. The mastermind behind this globally unique process is Swedish development company Coloreel. While until now in embroidery only a limited number of colours could be used depending on the number of needles of the machine, in future a single white yarn is said to suffice. At viscom the process will be demonstrated live by the German distribution partner Barudan Stickmaschinen GmbH using the machinery of Japanese manufacturer Barudan.
New series of machines at viscom
Specialist dealer Deratex from Neuss will be showcasing the new X-Stitch series of machines at the trade show. Stickmaschinen Center Köln will bring the new machines of the EmbroStar and BlueLine brands to viscom. Embroidery machines “Made in Germany” will be exhibited by Heinz Walz GmbH, demonstrating the embroidery systems of the Krefeld-based manufacturer ZSK Stickmaschinen. The equipment of Japanese manufacturer Tajima will be exhibited by the German specialist dealer Mountek. Here textile finished and signmakers will also be provided with insights into working with Pulse embroidery software.
The systems manufactured by Happy will be demonstrated by Hoko while the Bavarian company CCS brings Ricoma equipment to the trade show. These embroidery-centred ranges are complemented by yarn producer Madeira, embroidery data generation services by DigitisingMart as well as Interstitch’s embroidery design library.
“viscom Werkstatt”: experience technology live
Swiss embroidery machinery manufacturer Melco is represented not only with its own stand in Hall 13 but also with a single-head embroidery machine at the live signmaking workshop “viscom Werkstatt”. This special exhibition area right next to Hall 14 is the backbone of the new live experience area at the trade show. Here viscom visitors can see hands on how experienced digital printers and signmakers design a fan shop for signmaking with real fan items that are finished / personalised on site. Not only will it be possible to marvel at the products in the shop window of the viscom fan shop but also to purchase some of them. The revenue generated goes to a charitable cause. All trade show visitors are invited to join in and try this out.
